Abacus Plumbing Earns Local and National Recognition for Outstanding Company Growth
Houston, TX – August 25, 2010 – Abacus Plumbing Company, a leading residential
and commercial plumbing company in the Houston area, recently announced
recognition on both the local Houston level as well as on the national
scene. Locally, Abacus was named to the Houston Fast 100 List, which will
be published in late September. Nationally, Abacus was recognized as one
of the top 5,000 fastest growing companies in the country.
Inclusion on both lists represents the success that Abacus has had and
the positive impact it is having on the Houston community. “We are extremely
proud of what we’ve accomplished,” stated Alan O’Neill, president of Abacus
Plumbing. “The recognition of being in the Top 100 in the Houston area is a
reflection of our dedication to the customers who helped get us here.”
The Fast 100 List is published annually by the Houston Business Journal. A reception will be held to honor companies that made the list September 24. O’Neill commented, “On a larger scale, the fact that we made the Inc. 5000 list really tells us that we are doing things the right way here in Houston since that list compares us to thousands and thousands of other companies throughout the United States.” The Inc. 5000 List is published annually and requires that a company be in business for several years, be privately held, and generate a minimum level of revenue.
Ranked number 88 in its industry by Inc. 5000, Abacus employs 32 people in Houston, ranging from technicians to call takers to office staff.
