The story: “Experts: Protect your sprinkler systems from hard freeze or risk broken pipes” by Jeff Ehling was aired and posted on Monday, January 06, 2014.

Mike Myers, Director of Marketing for Abacus Plumbing said, “Jeff Ehling contacted our CEO, Alan O’Neill, about doing a consumer awareness piece for the news showing people how to properly wrap their pipes and sprinkler system during hard freezes in Houston. We had to find a willing customer to allow us to come to their home, and Peyo Rubio (seen in the video) was kind enough to allow us into his home. Mr. Jeff Ehling was really great, asked tons of questions, and made the entire process easy for us.”

Mr. Myers continued, “Jose Parra, Abacus Plumbing Manager, did a terrific job despite the blustery 32 degree weather, explaining to Jeff and all of Houston how pipes should be wrapped. Overall it was a great success and I hope the information was beneficial to all those who watched it on the evening news. I’d like to thank the local ABC News affiliate for choosing Abacus Plumbing & Air Conditioning to feature in the spot.”
