Abacus Plumbing Raises $7,500 to Support the Rose (Center for Breast Health Excellence) in Houston, Tx

Since 2016, Abacus Plumbing, Air Conditioning & Electrical has supported The Rose. Every year, Abacus has increased its contribution thanks to the generosity of Abacus employees, many of whom have either been directly or indirectly affected by breast cancer.  

This year, Abacus employees raised more funds than ever, with $7,500 in contributions, the majority of which came directly from Abacus employees through bake sales and the now, annual, “Pie in da Face” fundraiser, where volunteers take a pie in the face from other employees who purchase tickets.

Dorothy Gibbons, CEO and Co-founder of The Rose, said, “We cannot thank Abacus enough for their continued support over the years. We thrive on community helping community, and this is the perfect example of that. The Rose cannot do what we do on a daily basis without the support of our community partners. These donations are used to provide breast health services to uninsured women in our community. The Rose makes sure that every woman has access to quality breast healthcare by providing access to screening, diagnostics and treatment regardless of the patients’ ability to pay.”

Alan O’Neill, CEO & Founder of Abacus Plumbing, said, “I’m grateful and encouraged by the hard work that so many employees put into this years fundraiser, all through the month of October. And we’re happy to be able to present the check for $7,500 this month. Our employees are the driving force behind taking care of our customers and our community.
