Houston: As an “essential business” geared toward keeping Houstonians safe and as comfortable as possible during the COVID-19 crisis, Abacus Plumbing, Air Conditioning & Electrical is committed to maintaining the safety of both its customers and employees.

Along with adhering to the CDC’s guidelines of wearing protective masks/gloves and remaining six feet apart during service calls to home and businesses, Abacus has ensured the safety of its workers by installing the REME HALO^® filtration system in its company’s HVAC systems. As an additional measure, the company is adding the CAPTURA HEPA to its filtration system.

Customer demand for the REME HALO^® has risen 1,000% in last 2 weeks.

“To help keep our employees as healthy as possible, Abacus installed the same air filtration equipment in our offices that we install in our customer homes,” says Abacus Founder & CEO Alan O’Neill. “In an essential business like ours, we have to do everything possible to help prevent our team members from allergies, germs and viruses. The REME HALO^® purifies homes at their source: the HVAC system. Its patented technology is hospital tested and military approved to reduce allergies, fight odor and kill 99% of bacteria, mold and viruses.

Luna, an executive at The Partner Group – serving a four-state area including Texas – says he’s seen orders for the REME HALO increase “1,000 percent” in the last two weeks.

“We represent 16 other products, but this is the one people are asking for,” he says. “In a three-foot range, it will kill 99 percent of germs. With what we’re dealing with now, and probably again in the future, that’s a very valuable defense.”
