Abacus Plumbing Helps Underprivileged Youth in Houston with Sponsorship of Local Charity Softball League

Houston, TX – October 7, 2010 – Abacus Plumbing Company, a leading residential and commercial plumbing company in the Houston area, announced today that it is assisting the Bellaire Optimist Softball League, a charity softball league, in its mission to help local youth.

The league plays games in Bellaire and all proceeds from this charity assist with the baseball and softball sign-up fees for underprivileged boys and girls in the area.

“We feel that organized sporting leagues are important in the lives of our youth,” stated Alan O’Neill, president of Abacus Plumbing. “Not only does it promote healthy lifestyle choices, but also encourages team participation. Both are necessary skills for all areas of our lives and we want to ensure this opportunity exists for all children in our area.”

The Bellaire Optimist Softball League donation by Abacus is part of a recently launched program by Abacus Plumbing that will regularly offer monthly donations to different charities in the area. The program’s goal is to provide assistance to qualifying charities and non-profit programs throughout the metropolitan Houston area. Each month, Abacus management will select the designated charity. Charities will be selected based on their involvement and commitment to serving the needs of those living in the Houston area.
