Helpful Winter Tips from Abacus Plumbing

Abacus Plumbing in Houston offers great plumbing services if you do have frozen pipes, but there are several ways you can prevent pipes from freezing.

• Make sure the water to the sprinkler system is off and the vales are open.
• Cover outdoor faucets and pipes are covered with an insulated cover and pipe insulation. You can also use blankets – just make sure all of the exposed faucet and pipes are well covered.
• Remove garden hoses from the faucets
• Open cabinet doors, especially near the exterior walls, to allow warm air flow.
